A Message from your Oakfield Town Supervisor
Fellow Oakfield Citizens:
Well it's budget time again and I want you to know that your "Town Team" is doing all we can to keep your taxes as low as possible, while at the same time maintaining for you the high standards of service you have come to expect. Please remember that your Town taxes help provide you with the Haxton Library, the Town Park on Drake Street, the landfill on Etzold Road, intersection lighting, workman's comp for our Fire Dept., Town road maintenance/snowplowing, etc., the Town Clerk's office and all the services it provides, the Justice Court, our 3 cemeteries, and much, much more.
We are happy to announce that the new children's plays cape has been installed at your Town Park and the new picnic pavilion is on track for installation along with new picnic tables and grills, which will join new hiking/biking trails. We plan on celebrating the new look of the park on Halloween and we hope you will come celebrate with us.
We have formed Water District #2 to serve residents from 5 corners to North Pearl Street, with construction to begin when Federal and State procedures are completed. Water District #3 is in the initial planning stage but will not be formed until residents in the district approve of the project and Federal Grant funds have been secured. District #3 will serve residents from the corner of North Pearl Street and Maltby Road to Fox Road to west Drake Street.
Remember your Town Board meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7pm and you are always welcome to attend. If you wish to be included on the evening's agenda please contact your Supervisor's office at least one week before each meeting.
